Based in London and never knowingly underpacked, I’m also mum to the mini traveller – aka 13-year-old Minnie* – and trying to work out how to cling on to normal globetrotting life by my fingernails. I love travel. I really really love travel. I’ve visited over 60 countries (still over 130 to go) and writing about travel is my full-time career, with my work published in a string of national papers and magazines, including the Independent, National Geographic Traveller, Metro, Family Traveller and The Sunday Times Travel magazine.

But when I told everyone I was pregnant, they assumed I’d have to swap my passport for a pushchair. I stubbornly insisted I needn’t put my suitcase away…even if I knew I’d have to slow down a bit.
So what is the reality of travelling with a bump, baby, toddler and now a single-minded whirlwind of energy? My family travel blog is all about finding out.
Now one of the most read family travel blogs in the UK, it has also been named a top 5 UK family travel blog five times running by Vuelio, along with winning several travel blogging awards and accolades, including the Brilliance in Blogging award for travel.
From our experiences on travelling in the UK and around the world, to reviews of the most useful family travel essentials, family travel tips and advice (including what not to do), that’s what I share in this blog. So far we’ve managed road trips in the USA, a cruise in the Caribbean, several long-haul trips to South East Asia, safari in Africa, holidays in more European cities than I can count and as many beaches as we can possibly squeeze in – to name just a few.
