Walking Paris with a pushchair
By a conservative estimate, I walked around 12 miles yesterday. Including a minor detour in the Bois de Boulogne. (Yes, all right, I got lost). I have aches where I barely knew I had muscles and was powered entirely by two croissants, half a crepe and a determination to pack in as much as possible (while also avoiding the Metro’s stairs as far as possible).

But among other highlights, I also got to point out to Minnie the real life tower she’d seen in her Babar book.

I think she may have been disappointed at the lack of elephants but a vintage carousel nearby went a long way towards making up for that!
But all the walking is worth it (once my feet recovered) – it’s one of my top tips for exploring Paris with kids. And I’ve also created two suggestions for Paris walks with a pushchair as well, if you’re also exploring with a buggy.

Sounds like you’re having fun! I hope those legs recover soon 🙂 How cute is that Barbar book Cathy!
Lots of fun – packed a lot into two days. Much more to post now my aching legs and I are back.
Haha!
I hope your muscles have recovered! I’m looking forward to reading all about your trip.
Not quite – but worth every step. So much to blog about now…
But it is really still the best way to see Paris… walking… 🙂
Absolutely – even if a few leg muscles disagree
Hi I was wondering which of the Babar books this is? Thanks so much for any help!
No problem – it’s Babar’s Lost and Found (link and some other Paris book suggestions here… https://www.mummytravels.com/2014/02/03/paris-books-for-children/)
