A week to remember?
Well, it’s been an interestingly busy week! I’ve had a mention on the BBC (hello if you’re a new reader!), several radio requests, Minnie caught her first cold and tried her first Calpol, plus she’s got her first night away from home coming up.
We’re planning to spend the weekend with some friends in Kent (cold permitting) – although as we’re driving, I’m making almost no concessions to travel and am planning to chuck everything into the car. As a result, my husband and I might just about have room for a change of pants and a toothbrush. Will be interesting to see how Minnie feels about sleeping somewhere new – or whether she even notices, given we’re taking her Moses basket, blankets, cuddly monkey etc
I’ll probably also be packing a hangover and some painkillers after the MAD blog awards tonight – my first solo night out post-Minnie, and my second night out without her at all. It should be a very fun night, whoever wins. I’ll also be tweeting from my account @mummytravels and there’ll be other updates on Twitter at #MadBlogAwards.
I’m up against some impressive competition – Emma with Bavarian Sojourn, Victoria for It’s A Small World After All, Jen’s Jenography and the lovely Trish of Mum’s Gone To, who I met over a glass of champagne on that luxury yacht earlier this year. As she said, may the best woman win! And apologies in advance for any slightly intoxicated posting later… (Really, I love you all, you’re my best friends)

Well done on the Beeb piece love! We’re flying to Tenerife at Christmas but I’m far more of a nuisance than El, rocking around the cabin high on valium and vodka – he just sits quietly with a DS and shakes his head at me.

Thanks! Such a shame you hate flying – still get a bit of a thrill at take-off, and think a lot is down to my parents instilling a sense of excitement during my first flights. Hopefully will pass that on, given how many flights I’m planning to take her on! And looking forward to seeing your dress tonight. Good luck to you too! xx

A week to remember indeed! Congrats, that’s great news with the beeb stuff! Thanks so much for the mention too… I am gutted I can’t be with you all tonight, but I will be thinking of you all, and have my fingers crossed for everyone! We are all winners anyway I reckon!
