Create your own must-visit map
There’s a thousand ways to decorate a nursery, but I rather love the idea of indoctrinating Minnie from birth and putting up a personalised map for her to gaze at, just as soon as she’s old enough.
Given a recent survey that found 12% of British children can’t find the UK on a globe, it’s not a bad idea from an educational point of view.
And Maps International do special children’s maps, which you can personalise with their name, a subtitle and border colours, or you could use them as a family map to record the places you visit over the years.
Although they’re not cheap enough to buy on a whim, you can get them laminated and mounted, and they’re big enough to pore over together.
Even better I’ve got a special 20% discount code off the personalised map – simply follow this link, choose the laminated and board finish, and enter the code ‘mummyt‘ at checkout. Valid until September 1, 2012.

What a neat idea. Map would also serve to cover creative toddler’s doodlings. Hmmm, would also need protecting from same. Might have to check out that laminating service!

It’s fun isn’t it – and good point about toddler-proofing…
