The post-baby plunge – buying new swimwear
One week left to go (according to the official baby schedule). As the July weather is not what I had in mind for my maternity leave and as our TV has chosen this week to go on the blink, I’ve been working through my backlog of Lonely Planet magazines, window shopping online and thinking ahead to being able to travel again.
Which has led me back to swimwear – and not the maternity kind this time. Although I won’t have a bump to consider, I can’t quite see myself jumping back into my bikinis straight away. So I’m adding this rather gorgeous retro halterneck Page swimsuit from Panache, £46, to my mental wishlist.
As well as proper cup sizes (usefully from 30D-38K) and vintage print, it seems perfect for covering up while still looking cute. The only question now is what size I’m likely to need, which is anyone’s guess, so I’m deferring any purchases until I’ve got a bit more idea.
Although with 46% of women apparently feeling guilty about spending money on clothes for themselves rather than their kids, according to a survey by Lakeside Shopping Centre, perhaps I shouldn’t put it off too long…
